Thanks for the really fast holiday response! No 3rd party Firewall. Spybot live monitoring is normally on, but was disabled for multiple V1.60.0.1800 install attempts. Am currently running non-PRO MBAM V1.51.2.1300 with updating turned off, and just waiting for an all clear update from you guys.

My MBytes update also crashed in XP SP3 - pain in the butt - it would probably have been a good idea to slow down the update schedule before the holidays - but I wouldn't complain without also at the same time thanking these guys for being spot on 99.9% of the time, obviously working hard and providing nearly continuous free database updates. Nobody's perfect - but these guys TRY, and come a lot closer than most!

Running XP SP3, have the same crash and burn "encountered a problem..." other XP users report when attempting to run new version 1.60.0.1800. Interestingly, using /update parameter performs database update normally. Running AVG Free 2011, Winpatrol 2011, Spybot SD V1.5.2, but there is no obvious indication other security software is clashing with MBAM, and disabling during install didn't seem to help.
