  2. You need an anti virus application and as I use avast! I recommend it. There are others here that use Kaspersky or Avira AntiVir but it is up to personal preference which you chose.

  7. Exactly. I only use 2 hpHosts and MVPS HOSTS files. Spybot S&D's HOSTS file is not as well maintained by them and usually have many old site entries that have dropped off the Internet.

  19. I have Windows 7 Home Premium, 64 bit OS and MBAM full works well with avast! anti virus and is free. One of our helpers here nonoknojon uses MSE. Make sure you completely remove AVG before installing either avast! or MSE. I too am a 'senior citizen'

  21. Hello Haider With avast! Free there is no need for exclusions as they are only needed for avast! Internet Security with the firewall. Note: avast! is lower case http://www.avast.com/en-ca/internet-security
