  1. Im having this problem as well. I have an assurance wireless umx, model U693CL. G21 news is constantly popping up as my homepage. I change it constantly, it always goes right back. I've also noticed that I'm getting new pages in new tabs that are ads for games. How do I stop this. I'm ok when it comes to phones but need someone to help walk me through.

  2. Hi, I use Arduino a lot for development and today MB started blocking 'avr-g++.exe'. There wasn't an update that I know about making this program new or anything, and looking at the Arduino main release notes their 1.8.13 release was put out in June 2020. I'm not sure if the Malware.AI was updated recently and that caused it to start blocking the avr-g++.exe or if there is something I should actually be worried about. I tried reinstalling the library as well as deleting and reinstalling, and looking through the Arduino avr core Github page and found that 'avr-g++' is specif

  4. By the way, Block notice messages mean that Malwarebytes web protection is keeping your Firefox , other web browsers, and your pc safe. Does not mean a actual infection exists onboard. The pest is out on the web. Here are what is being blocked. Any outbound or inbound attempt to roxlock.com

  5. Close / Exit Firefox & any other web browser before the point where you click on next 'scan' by Malwarebytes. In Malwarebytes for Windows program, we want to do a special scan. Click Settings ( gear icon) at the top right of Malwarebytes window. We want to see the SETTINGS window. Then click the Security tab. Scroll down and lets be sure the line in SCAN OPTIONs for "Scan for rootkits" is ON 👈 Click it to get it ON if it does not show a blue-color Next, click the small x on the Settings line to go to the main Malwarebytes

  11. Yes I got the same once. I'm an Arduino noob but use other IDEs/toolchains for work. My guess is that my source hadn't changed so the so the compiler (avr-g++?) wasn't called and moves straight on to the linking stage (avr-objcopy.exe?). Anyway, I contained the problem by adding C:\Program Files (x86)\Arduino to the allow list so it doesn't bug me for the time being. I also raised a ticket with MB. I'll report back on its progress.

  23. You are going to have to disable or uninstall all Bitdefender products to activate. I suggest turning off fast startup in Windows. Then restart. https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/4189-turn-off-fast-startup-windows-10-a.html I would also recommend creating exclusions between Malwarebytes and Your AV to help prevent any possible conflicts or performance issues. Please add the items listed in this support article to Your AV 's allow list(s)/trust list(s)/exclusion list(s) particularly for any of its real-time protection components and likewise add Your AV 's program folder(s) (

  25. @Chaisak5511 Just a quick look through the logs, you have quite an older version installed Malwarebytes version 4.3.0.98. Lets get you updated to see if that helps fix your issue. To begin, please try the following to see if it fixes the issue: Download the Malwarebytes Support Tool Accept the EULA and click Advanced Next click on Clean Follow the onscreen instructions and restart your computer if prompted to do so

  26. That is excellent. We can rule out a infection. I have had you run 2 different scanners for viruses. Earlier you deleted the Cache & history on Chrome. Plus added the Malwarebytes Browser Guard to. Chrome. . I would like you to run a tool named SecurityCheck to inquire on the current-security-update status of some applications. Download SecurityCheck by glax24 from here https://tools.safezone.cc/glax24/SecurityCheck/SecurityCheck.exe and save the tool on the desktop. If Windows's SmartScreen block that with a message-window, then Click o

  27. Hi. The report for this last run only found 1 minor issue: that Microsoft Defender was not set as a antispyware. I would suggest a free scan with the ESET Online Scanner Go to https://download.eset.com/com/eset/tools/online_scanner/latest/esetonlinescanner.exe It will start a download of "esetonlinescanner.exe" Save the file to your system, such as the Downloads folder, or else to the Desktop. Go to the saved file, and double click it to get it started. When presented with the initial ESET options, click on "Computer Scan". Next, when prompted b

  28. The 2 scans are just fine. Malwarebytes for Windows found no malware. Adwcleaner found & removed just 1 shortcut link. There appears no basis for presumption of a infection here. Let's do one follow-up scan. The Microsoft Safety Scanner is a free Microsoft stand-alone virus scanner that can be used to scan for & remove malware or potentially unwanted software from a system. The download links & the how-to-run-the tool are at this link at Microsoft https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/security/threat-protection/intelligence/safety-scanner-download

  31. Hi Start by advising of some basics. Is this on Windows 10 ? Which web browser did you use ? Does this pc have Malwarebytes for Windows ? What is the antivirus app on this pc ? I cannot help you on any actual account lockout. However, I think some of messages you saw are normal. ( Non-infection ) but rather a normal browser advisory when switching from HTTPS secure webpage to one that is non-secure.

  33. The UMX phones from Assurance (mine too) have had viruses on and off for the past couple years that are usually factory installed in system apps that can be disabled but not removed. If you disable, you will lose functionality of that part of the system which may or may not be an issue. Several times UMX cleared the viruses off the phones with an update, but after a few months a new virus appeared. I had the g21news.com virus in Dec/Jan, but then an update took it away so it seems that my phone has been virus free for the past few months. If you get a new phone or do a factory reset t
