  6. Thank you for that log-report. That has cleaned up the last traces of Chrome browser. As I noted before, there had been old traces left behind due to the way Chrome was removed before. Now, your system is good to go. To remove the FRST tool & its work files, do this. Go to your Downloads folder. Do a RIGHT-click on FRSTENGLISH.exe & select RENAME & then change it to UNINSTALL.exe . Then run that ( double click on it) to begin the cleanup process. Delete mbst-grab-results.zip on the Desktop Delete mb-support-1.80.848.exe Any other download file I had you download, you may delete. Let me know in case you need other help at this point. Sincerely.

  9. Greetings, Unfortunately, such older versions are no longer supported, however your lifetime license is still valid so you should be able to upgrade to the latest version of Malwarebytes Premium. Please refer to this support article as well as this reference for further details on Malwarebytes' life cycle policy and supported legacy products. Also keep in mind that even if you could update your older version, the vast majority of threat signatures included in the databases could not be used by the much older engine as each build of Malwarebytes is written to ignore threat signatures that it does not understand in order to avoid critical issues and false positives (since older versions would not know how to interpret new database syntax and signature types which have been created based on newer versions of the engine/software to target newer threats and threat types). This means that even using the same database versions, an older version of Malwarebytes will be incapable of detecting many of the threats that the current version would detect using the same threat signatures/database updates. I would highly recommend first signing up for an account at My.Malwarebytes.com as described in this support article, then, if your license doesn't show up there, adding your license key manually as described in this support article, then uninstalling the older build you have now and restarting your system, then installing the latest version from here and activating it with your ID and Key. From there, if you wish to continue to use both Windows Defender and Malwarebytes, deactivate the option for Malwarebytes to register in the Windows Security Center by opening Malwarebytes and navigating to settings by clicking the small gear icon in the upper right, then selecting the Security tab and toggling the option under the Windows Security Center section to the off position and restarting your system. That will allow you to keep both Malwarebytes and Defender active in real-time. You will also find the user guide for Malwarebytes 4 here which will provide information on most of the features and options in the latest version. I hope this helps, and if there is anything else we might assist you with please let us know. Thanks
