Please show us a screen shot.  We don't have or use any type of nag screen.

Please create an mbam-check log:

  • Download mbam-check.exe from here and save it to your desktop
  • Double-click on mbam-check.exe to run it, it should then open a log file
  • Please do not copy and paste the entire contents of the log into your next post, instead please attach the log CheckResults.txt file which should now be located on your desktop to your next post

Hi:

In addition to AdvancedSetup's expert recommendations...

With Malwarebytes popping up every five minutes to tell me that I need to update or spend money on the full version,

Perhaps you are referring to notifications that your free trial of MBAM PRO has expired?

If so, this KB topic explains how to stop the notifications: I keep getting notified that my trial has expired, how do I revert to the free version?

Alternatively, you could follow the instructions for Method 2 here: MBAM Clean Removal Process.

When you do, be sure to un-tick (opt-out) of the free trial for MBAM PRO, if it is offered during the setup wizard.

If these don't describe what you're seeing and help to resolve it, please absolutely do follow AdvancedSetup's advice to post back with the log from mbam-check.

Hope this helps,
