  2. I haven't had time to play with this any further, and it was working perfectly since my last post (11 days ago). During that time I have made no changes to the settings of MWB, nor any changes to Java or Unifi. The machine has been rebooted for some Windows updates (with no changes to MWB settings), and Nvidia updates, yet Unifi and MWB continued to work in perfect harmony. Throughout that time MWB was on, with inbound protection and exploit protection both ON. Then, with no changes to anything, MWB suddenly this afternoon popped up the "generic" error (as above) and killed Unifi stone dead. Out of the blue! 11 days it worked, including reboots, and then decided to revert to its original behaviour. As described previously, the procedure of switching off Java incoming, disabling exploit protection, killing MWB and then restarting Unifi allowed it to work. Then, as before, I started MWB, re-enabled exploit protection and finally Java incoming, and everything is happy again! There's something really odd about this v4 MWB.
  3. Bitdefender is a highly rated AV just like Kaspersky. I don't know of any compatibility issues with Bitdefender and Malwarebytes and I do know that at least a few users who were experiencing this issue switched to Bitdefender and reported that they had no issues after doing so and that their system performance was greatly improved.

Since there were threats on the system I would also recommend making certain the system is clean just to make sure nothing slipped by the scans.   12. Thanks for letting me know. The above has been deleted. Much of the content is uploaded by users and is scanned by antivirus but sometimes somethings slip through.

  14. Does anyone recommend using Bitdefender Total Security vs Kaseprsky? Are there any know issues with Bitdefender and it more friendly with MalwareBytes?

Can you share the output of the command `bcdedit`: Open the Windows start menu, type `cmd.exe` Right click on the `cmd.exe` item that shows up > `Open as administrator` In the black window that opens, type `bcdedit` and press <Enter> Please then share the output.   19. I got home and tried to run a quick scan and it has been searching for updates for 15 minutes
  20. Not only that. Also the ZIP file itself and its content 'dgvoodoocpl.exe' is incorrectly detected as malware:

  22. The specified website has been verified as being blocked, then whitelisted. Please allow as much as an hour from now for propagation of the whitelist. If it is still blocked after that, please post a reply on this thread.

  24. Thank you Exile, the issue was resolved, i disabled Avast! and was able to install and run MwB and Adwcleaner. The result was 12 PuP's. I reverted back to WindowsFirewall as a default and reverted UAC from always notify back to default as well. the screen flicker is gone along with the delayed typing . I'm defiantly going to switch to MwB Premium in January when my avast runs out I placed this same question on the avast forums and got no response or solution after 3 days so im thankful for the speedy reply

  27. OK...thanks. For some reason...This morning for my normal 11AM scheduled scan that all of my NINE systems do ALL three of the systems that I had installed the patch on (Due to video display problems in MB) took aa very long time to do their scans. One was like 90 minutes, another was over 2 hours and the original problem Dell laptop I had to actually reboot and restart it (Then it completed in about 35 minutes which was normal for it)...Not sure what happened with these three as they had been scanning without issue for the past few days...The third system that I installed the patch on was a Cherry Trail Atom processor Windows 10 tablet that I encountered an issue that if the screen went momentarily black while scanning the MB UI would go to a completely white display (This was similar to what another had encountered in this forum on a different system)... So I actually have the patch (batch file) installed on three systems right now...
