Recommended Posts

I am having the same issue.

The first five scans run in under 15 minutes & find nothing. Heuristic finds thousands and runs for over 12 hours before teh program crashes (happened 3x at least overthe last week)

Machine is an old Dell D820 with Wint Ultimate, 4gb ram & a 1.6 core duo. I have had MWB on this machine for years issue free.

My logs are here:

Hello e30cabrio:

Your post reads like your system is quite seriously infected and malware removal actions are not permitted in this sub-forum.

I recommend following the advice from the topic: Available Assistance for Possibly Infected Computers and have one of the Malware Removal Experts assist you with your issue.

If, as recommended, you do open a topic in Malware Removal Help, please make reference to this thread.

If you would like to get off to a very fast start, the Malware Removal Experts would appreciate it if you would also Copy and Paste (not attach) both the FRST.txt and the Addition.txt output diagnostic reports from only Log Set 1 into your new topic.

Thank you. :)

I'm sorry but if you're not willing to post logs as requested here on the forum then we will not be able to assist you. We are not magicians and cannot remotely tell what is going on with your computer without some type of logs.

If you're concerned and do not wish to post such logs you can contact our help desk and create a ticket and they will assist you via email.

@e30cabrio

Your posts into other users posts on this forum are frowned upon and we have provided advice on how to get further help. You can either use the Help Desk or post here on the forum in the proper forum for malware detection and removal. Don't bump your topic, just post with logs in your own new topic and wait. It can sometimes take up to 48 hours for a reply. If after 48 hours you do not get a reply then send me a private message and I'll check on it.

I would suggest following the advice from the topic here Available Assistance for Possibly Infected Computers and having one of the Experts assist you with looking into your issue.

Thank you

Ron

I did post logs & create a new thread AND create a ticket AND showed you YOUR program is WRONG & there is NO INFECTION yet you refuse help.

YOUR "support" is a joke & I will let anyone that will listen know how shamefully I have been treated the first time I asked for help from you.

NOT UNTIL THE LAST SCAN DO I GET ANY INFECTION & PRIOR TO IT I NEVER HAD ANY.

Thanks for nothing.

I did not post in malware as I DO NOT HAVE ANY. Your broken program AFTER IT'S FIRST 8scans FINDS NOTHING. Heuristics, then runs fpr hours (12+) and "finds" thousands.

Which is broken? it or the first 8 scans?????

I have no case number, just this email "confirming" I created teh case from 49:19 ago:

## Please type your response at the top of this reply. ##
We have received your request and an agent will respond to your ticket in the order in which it was received.
In the meantime you may be able to find a solution for your inquiry through our support portal which may be able to provide a solution.

I posted on your forum and was ordered to create another thread then ignored & told to ask for your help. Your site leaves much to be desired.

I do apologize and wish to try and assist you as best I can. Just some confusion for some reason as to where we want/need you to post but hopefully I've cleared it up below.

Your Helpdesk ticket is: 598316

You were asked multiple times to create a new topic in the "Malware Removal Help" forum but as yet you have not created one. You keep replying to this one and creating a topic in the "Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Help" forum.

I would help you from the helpdesk but I don't have an account to do so there. I can help you here on the forum though but again you need to create a new topic in the forum link below.

https://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?/forum/7-malware-removal-help/

The reason for that is then no one else can butt in and we can run other tools as needed that are not allowed to be run from this part of the forum.

Thank you again

Ron

I turend heuristic off but it ran anyway, this was a few minutes into it.

hueresticoff_zpsa2df63b1.jpg

It finds nothing until that runs.

Do you see this? There were no threats until Heuristics ran. I have had your program for at least 4 years, running scans the whole time, until you added Heuristics all it that was ever found were browser minimal threats (1-2 per scan) which were quarantined & deleted no issue.

You added this thing and now the scans do not complete (after 12+ hours) it is not infected, it is your broken program.

I am nearing the end of my patience, offer a solution for your broken program or I'll remove it from my system and use something else (MS Security continues to find nothing) bt the way.

Well I'm sorry then if you won't allow me to help you then you will have to remove it from your system as I cannot help you when you refuse to follow directions.

No one said you were not getting errors. No one said you were not having an issue. We have asked you many times now to post in a specific location but you seem to ignore or refuse to do as requested.

Once again please do as I've requested and I'll be more than happy to try and track down what's going on, but if you simply refuse to follow directions then I can't help you.

Kind regards

Ron

There have never been any virii on my machine, none are found by MS Security & until Heurists nothing but browser hijacks were found by MWB.

This is the third thread I have been forced to create, I created a ticket which has been ignored for 62 hours. MWB is broken & needs to be fixed or gtfo my machine.

There is no such thing as "virii"

The plural of virus is viruses.  Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware (MBAM) is not an anti virus application.  It targets mainly non-viral malware.

Perhaps, however as a paid customer that has never asked for help WHO DID NOT START OUT ANGRY some support is in order?

You are aware the internet is a big place and word of mouth spreads???

I am very close to giving up and moving on, taking my acrid tone "out there" where it will harm your company.

meanwhile I now have 19 posts & NO ONE HAS OFFERED ANYTHING APPROACHING SUPPORT!

How do I have 13 (14 now) posts without anyone offering any suggestions that begins to offer help for my issue?

I will butt in once.

I understand fully your frustration. The best way to explain what is going on is that the tools/logs that are needed to help you find out what is wrong are the same for fixing program issues as diagnosing malware as well.  The issue is those tools can only be used either on the help desk or in the dedicated malware section of the forum . You are asked to post those logs there to keep unauthorized people like myself from giving you stupid fixes that can break things worse than they already might be. Please give them a chance to give you the free one on one assistance in that section of the forum and ingnore that section is called " malware removal". The results are the same, You will get fixed up.
