	Absolutely loving the Tools Preview.  It is so brilliant. What a great asset to have. I have used and recommended your product for many decades in IT support, and I will definitely continue to do so.<br />
	<br />
	For example, I had an issue with my Windows 11 not completing the Shutdown procedure and havin to manually hold the power button on the PC case.<br />
	<br />
	This product will make a lot of problem solving so easy and user friendly.  Reduces command line tedium.  I simply enabled the Tools -&gt; System Tweaks -&gt; Miscellaneous -&gt; Enable Verbose Startup and Shutdown option.  When shutting down it identified the Hyper V Management service as the culprit.  I was able to set the service to turn on manually instead of automatically.  No more problems shutting down... brilliant!

	I'm actually disappointed to see this kind of unnecessary bloat being added to Malwarebytes. Gen Digital did the same thing to my Norton antivirus after NortonLifeLock acquired Avast in 2021 and that was one of the reasons I ditched their antivirus after being a loyal Norton customer for over a decade.
</p>

<p>
	The only <strong>System Tweaks </strong>tool I might be interested in using is the <strong>Disk Cleaner</strong>, but if this is the same Disk Cleaner built in to my Win 10 OS (i.e., the Windows utility that cannot clean my C:\Users&lt;<em>yourusername</em>&gt;\AppData\Local\Temp folder and does not present a list of individual files that I can review before cleaning) then this Malwarebytes tool provides no added value. Unfortunately, I can't test because the System Tweaks tools are currently only available to Win 11 users.
</p>

<p>
	I was able to try the <strong>Startup Applications </strong>tool on my Win 10 machine after updating to Malwarebytes v5.3.7.209 (rel.21-Aug-2025) and panicked a bit when I saw a process named <strong>EPLTarget\P00000000000000000</strong> from an unknown company.
</p>

<p>
	<img alt="MBv5_3_7NewStartupApplicationsToolsUnknnownEPLTargetProcess25Aug2025.png.f4cee95551f4972741c66d0f7f1cc51a.png" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" data-fileid="436729" data-ratio="38.99" width="736" src="//media.invisioncic.com/Mmalware/monthly_2025_08/MBv5_3_7NewStartupApplicationsToolsUnknnownEPLTargetProcess25Aug2025.png.f4cee95551f4972741c66d0f7f1cc51a.png" />
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	However, a Google search revealed that <strong><a href="https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/startups/28649/e_yatiiue.exe/" rel="external nofollow">EPLTarget\P00000000000000000</a> </strong>is actually part of the <strong>Epson Status Monitor 3 </strong>(Publisher = Seiko Epson Corporation) for my Epson printer, and is clearly identified as such in the Startup tab of my Win 10 Task Manager.

	As a long time Malwarebytes user I LOVE these tools being easily accessible. Been using your products for 15 years or so.
</p>

<p>
	As a computer technician I gotta say: HEY! You're taking away my customers! lol
</p>

<p>
	Quick note on SFC /scannow
</p>

<p>
	I may be mistaken and please correct me if I am wrong but whenever I have a PC that has errors repaired with this tool I have a follow up step that I have always found is HIGHLY recommended.
</p>

<p>
	If errors are found and corrected, I always reboot the PC and then open another command prompt as admin and run DISM /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth<br />
	My 2 cents. Thanks for making a great product you guys and for constantly improving it. Preciate you!

	Hello,
</p>

<p>
	I was testing the <strong>System Tweaks</strong> feature under Malwarebytes, specifically the option <strong>"Disable Mouse Acceleration"</strong><br />
	The problem is that this tweak only has an <strong>Apply</strong> button and no toggle or revert option.
</p>

<p>
	After applying it, I realized I don’t like the change and I want to go back to the original Windows setting.<br />
	Could you please tell me:
</p>

<p>
	How can I undo this tweak and restore the default mouse acceleration setting manually?
</p>

<p>
	Thanks in advance for any help!

	To reduce the firewall ruleset size, it would be so beneficial for new firewall rule creation if it would allow to select multiple protocols. Allowing them to be added serially in a comma separated list or even by allowing checkboxes for each protocol to be included.

	Disable Advertising ID was <em>already </em>enabled, none of the others <em>can be</em> enabled.  Could this be because I am running StartAllBack ?
</p>

<p>
	Also, under Tools - System Tweaks / Miscellaneous, I also cannot enable (a) "Set Classic Right Click Menu",  (b) "Add End Task to Taskbar Context Menu", or (c) "Enable Dark Mode".  "Show File Extensions" and "Show Hidden Files and Folders" are already enabled, and "Enable Verbose Startup and Shutdown" can be enabled if I wish.

	I like the idea.
</p>

<p>
	I would like the option to automate some of these things - easier than doing it myself through task scheduler.
</p>

<p>
	Administrator permissions only needed once would be great if possible.
</p>

<p>
	More privacy options. I use O &amp; O Shutup and Chris Titus's Windows Utiliy tool. The options available using these coould perhaps be incorporated into the privacy options.

	Hi, firstly, I really like the new additions of some system tweaks and especially the startup items. Just wanted to say thanks for that as it's such an elegant simple way to turn things on or off at start up with a "power button" for each app.
</p>

<p>
	However, I see an option in there to disable windows games mode, so I need more info on this if that's OK.
</p>

<p>
	Can anyone tell me why disabling it "may provide marginal performance improvements" in some games? And if I use MWB to disable it to try it out, is that just a shortcut for the same setting in Windows global settings app?
</p>

<p>
	I am curious as to why it's even an option though, and especially curious as a heavy gamer. Any ideas?
</p>

<p>
	Cheers.
</p>

	We're excited to share with you some amazing new tools we've added to our Windows app that make it easier than ever to repair and optimize your devices.  As many of you already know, diagnosing and fixing computer issues isn't always as straightforward as running a simple tool (e.g. Malwarebytes for malware removal). You're usually required to take a number of steps to fully repair your issues. Two of those steps are reviewing and adjusting your startup items as well as looking into ways to optimize your device. Our two new tools complement the malware removal and computer repair process by helping you quickly and easily assess other potential changes you may want to make.
</p>

<ul>
	<li>
		<strong>Startup Applications</strong> - a simple, yet powerful interface to view and manage apps that launch at startup which may be impacting the performance of your device
	</li>
	<li>
		<strong>System Tweaks </strong>- a curated set of Windows tweaks to repair common issues, adjust privacy settings, optimize performance, and control how Windows works for you
	</li>
</ul>

<p>
	<em>Availability</em>: currently available only for users running Windows 11 on Malwarebytes version 5.3.1.188
</p>

<p>
	<strong>To get the new tools:</strong>
</p>

<ul>
	<li>
		Ensure you're opted into beta updates by clicking Settings -&gt; General -&gt; enabled Beta updates
		<ul>
			<li>
				Once version 5.x goes to production (slated for May 15, 2025), the new tools will be available to all users who are on Windows 11
			</li>
		</ul>
	</li>
	<li>
		Update Malwarebytes by clicking the silhouette in the upper right -&gt; About Malwarebytes -&gt; Check for updates -&gt; ensure you're on version 5.3.1.188
	</li>
	<li>
		Open Malwarebytes and click on the "Tools" section in the lefthand navigation
	</li>
</ul>

<p>
	<strong>We want your feedback!</strong> We'd love for you to try these and share your thoughts on how they're working for you as well as what you'd like us to build next.
