  2. As I stated… I temporarily re-enabled this (on one of the Windows machines) purely to see if it provided any kind of clue. Make of the information what you will. My NAS does have SMB1 disabled as a matter of course. WS-Discovery (WSD) is enabled. Please do not loose sight of the core issue – I do not have any kind of generic problem accessing the NAS.   3. @AdvancedSetup No. I did not block those are purpose I don't recall blocking anything at all actually. There is no specific time they show up either and I don't see any tasks that appear to be the cause. The only task I ever scheduled was a long time ago (before all this) for a program to restart every day cause sometimes it would crash and would not sync without me noticing. Before I apply the fix do you know if this affects the extension Onetab? I could store my tabs in there but I don't know if its affected.

  11. I found how to turn off the trial in version 4. Click Settings Click Account Click the thin blue line near the center of the page that says "Disable". The free trial is gone.

When the install completes or Malwarebytes is already installed do the following: Open Malwarebytes, select > "settings" > "protection tab" Scroll down to "Scan Options" ensure Scan for Rootkits and Scan within Archives are both on.

  19. After starting my PC i noticed some programs not running correctly. I tried to open Task Manager and it opens for about 1 second before disappearing. The icon is present in the task bar until I mouse over it and it disappears. I ran a scan with Malwarebytes and it found 7 items which were quarantined. Im not sure what to do at this point as task manager will still not open.

  21. So i Got A key and im trying to put it in and it says this and after it says this Installation token not found i looked up everything i deleted it 10+ times nothing i am tired of this is there any fixes for this.
  22. Because NAS uses the Server Message Block (SMB) Protocol to access and allow file sharing which NAS devices use. Here is a list of vendors still using SMB1 and if your product is on this list and you disable SMB1 then you will not be able to see or access the device. https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/storage-at-microsoft/smb1-product-clearinghouse/ba-p/426008 We do not modify or change SMB. If you uninstall all of our software and are not changing SMB you should not see any difference on the SMB / CIFS level. We accidentally introduced a block for Web Services for Devices
  23. @SPDIF Installed successfully on the Desktop. Rolled back the Laptop to the previous state. Installed KB 4580419. Quit MWB from the Taskbar. Installed KB 4580364 successfully and times very similar---44% at 21:16: 100% at 21:22. The Desktop MWB levels are the same as the Laptop. In my case, MWB is not interfering with the update.
  24. Ran the Tool. Clean install on 2 machines. Same network issues on both. Using version 4.1.2 and no issues at all.
  25. I've been all over the privacy/security settings with the Mozilla gurus with no joy so I'm gonna try what bjm posted first. Whatever it is, it seems to be happening overnight without user interaction. Pretty much just wanted to verify Mw-B wasn't the culprit... Thanks! Russ
